That being said, you might be surprised how quickly people will miss that members only part of your post. If only members can use it then why not just provide it to members via email or behind a members only login.

Because I’ll bet you boots to britches that this will get hoiked, rewritten, resold and rebranded regardless.

Maybe creative commons would have been a better move. Just my 2 cents in passing (I’m writing a similar document at the moment for an NPO although a little different).

Hi Steven and thanks for the comments.

The MS Word document can only be downloaded if you’re logged in - if you’re not logged in it just takes you to the login anyway :)

I’m sure some will just take the pdf and rip that. Ultimately if they want to it’s really quite difficult to stop. Hopefully the dishonest will be outed - and that’s not going to do them much good. Of course, some will do that regardless.

We’ve been debating different licensing models for the club. For the time being we’re sticking to standard UK copyright approaches. For some elements GPL or CC could be the way to go, but we’ll take it one step at a time. It’s still very early days for us.

Thanks for this great resource. Any time line on 2.7? I for one think 2.7 ( and all the new interface stuff) would be worth every penny of membership. When you’ve got it I’m signing up. Steven may have a point, but the first time I hand this to a client its paid for its self many times over. Hopefully others will honor that value.
